Iowa Ag Connection (Nov. 2) – Congratulations to Illinois alumnus, Dr. Andrew Hennenfent (DVM ’12). He has been hired as the new Emergency Management Coordinator for the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship. According to Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig, “Dr. Hennenfent has broad experience as a public health veterinarian that will be a tremendous asset as he serves in this important role.” After earning his DVM at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, Hennenfent went on to achieve a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Public Health.
