Equine Medicine & Surgery

“Very pleased with Dr. Santiago and the whole team that looked after my equine athlete.”

– Client, Equine Medicine

Our Service

We care for pleasure horses, race horses, breeding horses, and more. We have two climate-controlled equine wards, two equine surgery suites with state-of-the art equipment and padded recovery rooms, and the only 3-Tesla magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system for horses in the state.

Our service is staffed by specialized veterinarians 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, for emergencies and by appointment for patients in need of evaluation and care from our board-certified specialists in equine surgery, internal medicine, and reproduction.

Additionally, if your horse needs the expertise of a specialist in cardiology, dermatology, neurology, oncology, ophthalmology, anesthesiology, or imaging our equine veterinarians can quickly and easily consult with additional board-certified specialists available at our hospital
