The Stroller (Nov. 23) – Dr. Heidi Phillips, formerly of New Kensington, Pennsylvania, was named the first Dr. John A. Coyne Professor of Small Animal Surgery at the University of Illinois School of Veterinary Medicine. A 1993 graduate of Valley High School, New Kensington, where she was valedictorian, she completed her surgical training and veterinary degree at the University of Pennsylvania and is now the section head of the University of Illinois hospital’s small animal soft tissue surgery service.
