Ubiquitous Exposure to Environmental Chemicals

Inside Climate News (New York City, May 12) – In a new study, researchers found potentially harmful chemicals in the bodies of pregnant women. Jodi Flaws, a professor of comparative biosciences at Illinois who was not involved in the research, says she wasn’t surprised. “In fact, the recent study, as well as many previous studies, have identified chemicals in the urine from both pregnant and nonpregnant women,” Flaws says. “And a lot of the chemicals that we’re exposed to in the environment, we’re being exposed to ubiquitously every day through many ways.”
