Advice for Avoiding Mites and Ticks

Illinois News Today (June 16) – A study conducted by the Illinois Tick Catalog Collaboration Network found no solid evidence that tick activity was higher than normal, explained Rebecca Lee Smith, an associate professor of epidemiology at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. “High humidity this spring can create conditions for high levels of mites, but high temperatures can counteract them,” she explained.
