Horsetalk (June 29) – A clear gap exists in the US public health infrastructure, say researchers who have conducted the first-ever survey of the nation’s tick management programs, with a focus on public health outcomes. Findings from the survey, conducted by university researchers at the CDC’s five Vector-Borne Disease Regional Centers of Excellence (University of Illinois is part of the Midwest center), were published this month in the Journal of Medical Entomology.
