Being in vet school can be challenging—academically, financially, and emotionally.
You don’t have to face these challenges alone. We have resources to help you achieve overall well-being.
You come because you are passionate about pursuing your dream of being a veterinarian.
We’re here to support you in your journey, not merely as a student, but as a whole person.
The majority of veterinary students need extra help at some point in the four-year program. Resources abound, both within our college and across the University of Illinois campus.
We have extensive resources for current students to promote:
- Academic success: Academic tutoring, screening services, and academic accommodations when needed.
- Emotional and relationship health: Counseling and wellness coaching with our full-time licensed clinical social worker
- Cultural diversity: Opportunities to connect and be part of a larger community
- Financial wellness: Practical resources for taking charge of your financial future

Don’t be afraid to ask for help when you need it. Asking for help isn’t a sign of weakness, it’s a sign of strength.
