Dr. Adetunji is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Anatomic Pathology at the University of Illinois Department of Veterinary Clinical Medicine and the Illinois Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory, Urbana-Champaign, Illinois.

She obtained her DVM from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, and pursued further education at Texas A&M University, earning both Masters and PhD in Biomedical Sciences. Her PhD research focused on host-pathogen molecular interactions during pregnancy and the associated adverse outcomes. Following her doctoral studies, Dr. Adetunji completed an anatomic pathology residency at Kansas State University after her postdoctoral fellowship with the United States Department of Agriculture in Manhattan Kansas.

Her professional interests lie in diagnostic and investigative/experimental pathology, toxicologic pathology, and immunopathology, with a particular emphasis on understanding immune responses and the mechanisms of morphological changes induced by infectious agents and toxins. 

Dr. Adetunji is committed to utilizing her expertise in diagnostic and investigative/toxicologic pathology, as well as her biomedical research skills, to advance disease diagnosis and prevention in animals and humans globally. Additionally, she is dedicated to training the next generation of veterinarians, pathologists, and scientists.
