Mixed Animal Veterinarian on the Gulf Coast
We are a busy 2 doctor practice that continues to grow. There are a total of 6 other support staff. The caseloads vary greatly, ensuring no two days being the same. The species percentage includes 40% small animal, 35% equine, 10% small ruminant, 5% potbelly pigs, 5% bovine and 5% other. Hospital amenities include but are not limited to in-house idexx blood machines, a new ultrasound for small and large animal use, digital and portable radiography, a large animal surgery suite with anesthesia machine, TERAFLOAT, 4 stall barn for large animal hospitalization with cameras for monitoring, a cattle handling facility with a squeeze chute and a fully equipped truck for farm calls.

Experienced veterinarians and new graduates welcome to apply. The associate would share on-call emergency work after hours. However, they would receive a substantial portion of profits. The schedule is a 4 day work week with only the first Saturday of the month being open of which is rotated between the two doctors. New graduates receive a set salary the first year to give them to accommodate learning and not feeling pressured to produce. Years to follow, compensation is pro-sal with ample PTO, health insurance, simple IRA match program, AVMA dues, liability dues and CE allowance.

We have a good mixture of both country living and city perks. For horse enthusiasts, we have a large equine community compromised of competitive riding to trail riding. There are also state parks with over 100 miles of trails. The clinic is located just north of Pensacola, FL which is home to some of the most beautiful white sand beaches in the nation. The 30 minute drive to the beach offers world class fishing and boating. The summers are sunny and the winters are mild. Downtown offers exceptional dining options and night life.
