The Clinical Skills Learning Center (CSLC) in the College of Veterinary Medicine is currently looking for several Clinical Skills Instructors. The CSLC activities are focused on teaching clinical skills to DVM students, using models or manikins, case scenarios and live animals prior to performing procedures on clinical patients. The successful applicants may coach students one-on-one, or train small groups of students, or lead discussions in larger groups. Successful applicants may also participate in assessing students in the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) portion of Milestone Exams 1 and 2, and in simulation training by acting as a standardized client during role-play. To some extent, the task assigned to these positions will reflect the expertise, experience and interests of the individuals. A degree in veterinary or animal sciences is required. For some applicants, demonstrated expertise and experience in relevant clinical skills and practice will be considered as an acceptable alternative to a bachelor’s degree.
