I began working for the College of Veterinary Medicine’s Farrier Service in September last year.
Describe your role at the college.
I am a full-time farrier with the veterinary college. I work in the large animal clinic, at Midwest clinic in Farmer City, and ambulatory as well.
What is your favorite part of your job?
I love getting to work with a great group of farriers and our amazing veterinarians. I also love getting to help teach the students in classes and day-to-day cases. It is such a rewarding job seeing the vet students’ progress and getting to help horses at the same time.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time outside. I like to hike, fish, go camping, kayaking, and of course horse riding.

I have two pets. A 9-year-old German shepherd, Akita mix I rescued named Lilly and a 6-year-old off track Thoroughbred named Ganghis Khan (Khanner).
