Somerville is a vibrant and eclectic city with a lot to love! It’s packed with artists, musicians, and creatives and the city hosts numerous cultural events. The food scene in Somerville is top-notch, from trendy restaurants to classic diners. It’s close to Boston, and with access to the MBTA Red Line (Davis Square) and the new Green Line extension, getting to Boston and beyond is easy. Biking is also popular, with plenty of bike lanes and paths. Despite its urban setting, Somerville has a friendly, tight-knit vibe. The neighborhoods are diverse, and community engagement is high, with farmer’s markets, local events, and neighborhood groups. Living here means you’re just minutes from top universities like Harvard and MIT, as well as all the job opportunities and cultural attractions of Boston. And for a city setting, Somerville has beautiful outdoor areas. There are large parks, waterfront districts, walking & biking trails, and wide-open spaces so you don’t feel cramped. Additionally, with its old-school triple-decker houses, historic squares, and a mix of old and new architecture, Somerville has a character that sets it apart from more modern, high-rise-heavy cities.
