ACVM website (2026) – Dr. Daniel Rock, professor of virology in the Department of Pathobiology at the University of Illinois, was honored for his distinguished career investigating and identifying molecular mechanisms of viral pathogenesis, particularly in DNA viruses. He was named the 2026 Distinguished Veterinary Microbiologist by the American College of Veterinary Microbiologists, a veterinary specialty organization recognized by the American Veterinary Medical Association.
