Non-invasive Procedure Treats Bladder and Kidney Stones in Pets

First News at 4 (WCIA-TV; Jan. 6) – Dr. Joe Bruner at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine said, until recently, veterinarians have had to remove kidney stones and bladder stones in dogs and cats surgically. Now there is a non-surgical, non-invasive option: laser lithotripsy. The college’s Veterinary Teaching Hospital is among the first in the nation to offer this procedure.
