Illinois Alumni magazine (Summer 2025 issue; pp. 44-50) – Students in equine medicine at Illinois work at two university clinics—the state-of-the-art Veterinary Teaching Hospital on campus and out in DeWitt County at Midwest Equine, also a University of Illinois facility. For both Morales and Graham, the last stop before graduation is a two-week rotation at Midwest in equine ambulatory care. This means farm visits, as well as time in the clinic, when Graham and Morales each work one-on-one with vets on staff, notablyclinic director Catherine Foreman-Hesterberg.
