Shedd Aquarium (April 11) – In announcing the passing of Kayavak, a 25-year-old beluga whale born at the Shedd Aquarium, the institution acknowledged the expert group of specialists who participated in caring for the ailing whale, including members of the University of Illinois Zoological Pathology Program.
