I’m the AV Coordinator, which means I maintain and troubleshoot the projectors, speakers, touchpanels, microphones, wireless presentation equipment, etc in classrooms, conference rooms, and hospital spaces with AV equipment.
Have you held any previous titles or responsibilities at the college?
Yes, I have at Engineering IT and Physics.
What is your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part of the job is knowing that I made someone’s day better by fixing or building a system for someone.

My most memorable day at work was troubleshooting an audio module that the installers had wrapped electrical tape around because it was sparking. (Luckily the device was under warranty, and it’s now fixed.)
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I enjoy basking in fiction (printed or visual media), playing boardgames, hiking, and baking.
What is something your co-workers may be surprised to know about you?
I have taken ballroom dance classes, and enjoy dancing.
What is one thing on your bucket list?
To visit Japan; it just looks like a really interesting culture and a fun, beautiful place to visit.
Do you have a favorite restaurant or place in the Champaign/Urbana area?
Neil St. Blues has an amazing jambalaya.
Aside from necessities, what one thing could you not go a day without?
Fiction; I love a good story.

I have a couple of cute budgie parakeets.
