Bloodhorse.com (Feb. 29) – The Storm Cat Career Development Award, inaugurated in 2006, grants $20,000 to an individual considering a career in equine research. This year, Grayson awarded Dr. Rebecca Bishop, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Bishop is a veterinarian with six years of post-graduate advanced clinical training who completed a residency in equine surgery in July 2023. She is currently a PhD candidate in Comparative Biosciences under the supervision of Drs. Annette McCoy and Pamela Wilkins.
