When did you begin working at the College of Veterinary Medicine?
I began working in my current position at the Veterinary College a year ago!
Describe your role at the college.
I work with community leaders, shelters, and rescue organizations around the state to offer low-cost preventative medical care for pets.
Have you held any previous titles or responsibilities at the college?
I first came to the University of Illinois as a shelter medicine specialty intern.
What is your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part of the job is working with the students to help those in the community that need us most! The students’ enthusiasm for community service is really inspiring.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I love trivia, art classes, and traveling.
What is something your co-workers may be surprised to know about you?
I have been a certified scuba diver for 18 years!
What is one thing on your bucket list?
I would love to visit Egypt and Jordan.
Do you have a favorite restaurant or place in the Champaign/Urbana area?
I love the CU Original Pancake House for brunch with Dr. Nobrega.
Aside from necessities, what one thing could you not go a day without?
I cannot survive without a very large coffee in the morning.
Do you have any pets?
I have three kitties! Piggy, Chef Boyardee, and Azog the Defiler. All three were feral and they now live a life of luxury in my apartment. LOL!
