What is your favorite part of your job?
There are so many things I enjoy in my current position that it’s hard to choose a favorite! One thing I really love is when a student has a ‘light bulb’ moment, making connections they have not made before.
Complete this sentence: My most memorable day at work was…
…my first day on the job. There have been many memorable moments but being back on the College of Veterinary Medicine campus as a faculty member and instructor, as opposed to a student, was really special.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Free time? I’m not sure I understand the question (ha ha)! Between activities with our kids, taking care of my dogs, and home maintenance projects, free time is in short supply. I do love to read and travel when I’m able though!
What is something your co-workers may be surprised to know about you?
I completed my first year of veterinary school in Edinburgh, Scotland, at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies. It was a fun year!

Aside from necessities, what one thing could you not go a day without?
Definitely a steady supply of coffee. Dark roast and black.
Do you have any pets?
Two dogs, both shih tzu/yorkie mixes. Gus is 14 years old and Gabbie just turned 13.
