The College of Veterinary Medicine presented its 2022 Excellence Awards for faculty, staff, and residents on November 21 at a collegewide luncheon. The recipients are:
- Shirley A. Seets Staff Excellence Award – Tristan Kernick, web app developer, Veterinary Teaching Hospital
- Robert and Lucy Graham Staff Excellence Award – Lisa Moore, associate director of biosecurity and safety, College of Veterinary Medicine
- Dr. Walter E. Hoffmann & Dr. Ann L. Johnson Resident Teaching Excellence Award – Dr. Matthew Berry, instructor, Department of Veterinary Clinical Medicine, and veterinarian in the oncology service, Veterinary Teaching Hospital
- Dr. Gordon and Mrs. Helen Kruger All-Round Excellence Award – Dr. Yvette Johnson-Walker, lecturer, Department of Veterinary Clinical Medicine, and coordinator of diversity and inclusion, College of Veterinary Medicine
- Dr. Gordon and Mrs. Helen Kruger Research Excellence Award – Dr. Heidi Phillips, associate professor, Department of Veterinary Clinical Medicine, and small animal surgeon, Veterinary Teaching Hospital
- Dr. Gordon and Mrs. Helen Kruger Service Excellence Award – Dr. Amy Schnelle, clinical assistant professor, Department of Veterinary Clinical Medicine, and clinical pathologist, Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory
- Zoetis Animal Health Award for Research Excellence Award – Dr. Prabhakara Reddi, associate professor, Department of Comparative Biosciences
- Terry and Judy Rathgeber Academic Professional Excellence Award – Shana Michael, senior veterinary research specialist, Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory
- Dr. Mark Kuhlenschmidt Innovative Teaching Award – Dr. Russhawn Aldridge, lecturer, Department of Veterinary Clinical Medicine
