Chicago Sun-Times (Sept. 20) – Researchers at the University of Illinois hope to create a library of useful compounds found in cannabis plants. David Sarlah, a U. of I. chemistry professor, will make the compounds “from scratch,” and his colleague Aditi Das, of comparative biosciences, will run tests to see how they react with mouse immune cells. “There are so many beneficial effects that patients report,” Das said. “We need to know the science behind it.”
