Resident, in the WEAMS (Wildlife and Exotic Animal Medicine and Surgery) service and zoo veterinarian.
What is your favorite part of your job?
Teaching students but learning from them as well. Also, the amazing animals (and different species) we see on a day-to-day basis.

Immobilizing a sloth for a routine wellness examination on my first zoo visit and participating in field work with free-ranging eastern box turtles from the Wildlife Epidemiology Lab.
What would your coworkers be surprised to learn about your life outside of work?
I love reading cheesy romance novels.
Do you have any pets?
Yes, I have a 5-year-old mixed breed dog, Chloe, and a three-toed box turtle, Freddie Mercury.
