Two post-doctoral fellows from the laboratory of Dr. Uwe Rudolph, head of the Department of Comparative Biosciences, were selected for recognition in the poster competition at the Carl R. Woese Institute for Genomic Biology (IGB) Fellows Symposium on May 4, 2023.
Dr. Maltesh Kambali won second place for his poster entitled “Engineered 1q21.1 and 15q13.3 genomic copy number variants in mice modeling risk factors for neurodevelopmental disorders.”
Dr. Rajasekar Nagarajan won third place for his poster entitled “Propofol attenuates surgery-induced cognitive impairment in aged mice via a5-GABA-A receptors.”
Dr. Rudolph’s laboratory focuses on developing and studying genetic mouse models relevant for pathophysiology and treatment of psychiatric disorders using molecular biological, biochemical, morphological, optogenetic, chemogenetic and behavioral methods.
