First News (WCIA-TV: June 9) – Dr. Grace Lyu, a PhD graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine, investigated a compound called MP-III-022 to learn if it could help prevent cognitive deficits after a surgery common in older individuals. In a cohort of aged mice, the ones given the compound did not show the memory loss and confusion found in the mice not given the treatment.
