JAVMA Spotlight article (Nov. 1) – The University of Illinois employs a comprehensive suite of formative and summative assessments to evaluate student progress toward professional veterinary competencies. Since 2010, we have implemented Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs) to assess students’ clinical technical skills and communication competencies.
