News-Gazette (June 5) – “Shelter Me: The Cancer Pioneers,” a documentary featuring the work of Dr. Tim Fan, is available on the PBS website and will air locally on WILL at 9 p.m. Monday, June 9.
While Fan loves helping animals and giving them more time with their owners, he says that isn’t the whole story. “Science drives these discoveries, and the discoveries can benefit pets with cancer as well as people with cancer, and there is a lot more commonality between those two health systems, veterinary and human, that we probably don’t recognize,” Fan said.
