News-Gazette (April 29) – A 16-year-old Clydesdale is taking a break from the carriage ride business after a recent bout of sickness, and there is the possibility she may have to retire. Beth Saupe, an owner of Merrybeth Farm Carriage Service, says they appreciate the care provided by the University of Illinois’ large animal clinic and the people who have prayed for Lena’s recovery since they shared her condition on social media in early April.
