Bovine Veterinarian (Nov. 5) – A study by Dr. Csaba Varga and colleagues at the University of Illinois explored influences on Illinois beef cattle producers’ views about biosecurity, prevention and the threat of foreign animal diseases (FADs). “Biosecurity assessments and educating producers on how to assess their farm’s biosecurity vulnerabilities and recommend specific actions to address these gaps … were associated with better preparedness in our study,” said Dr. Varga.
