Swine Cell Line Improves Ability to Isolate PRRS virus

Lancaster Farming (March 8) – A recent study found that the ZMAC cell line, derived from alveolar macrophages in pigs’ lungs and developed by Dr. Federico Zuckerman at the University of Illinois, can significantly improve the success rate for isolating the PRRS virus to develop a vaccine.
