Puppy Dumped in Lake Recovers at Veterinary Hospital

CNN (Atlanta, Nov. 5) – A young dog is continuing to recover after being rescued from a freezing Champaign lake over the weekend. A passerby spotted the dog floating in a crate, waded in to retrieve the cage and brought the dog to the U. of I. College of Veterinary Medicine’s Veterinary Teaching Hospital. It took about three hours of warming to get the dog’s temperature up to normal levels, a spokesperson says, and the dog also has wounds unrelated to the lake exposure.
