Get to Know Juanmahel Dávila

 Juanmahel has been a teaching assistant professor with the College of Veterinary Medicine for 12 years. He also works as the Coordinator of Graduate Studies in the Dept. of Comparative Biosciences.

What is your favorite part of your job?

Teaching and interacting with students.

Apart from the many pleasant interactions I have with colleagues and students, so far, one of my most memorable day at work has been helping and participating in the iFARMS rotation. It is very rewarding to watch students apply their learned skills.

What would your coworkers be surprised to learn about your life outside of work?

Most people are surprised to learn that I like playing board games, do DIY electronics, and that I am an aspiring home brewer.

Do you have any pets?

Yes, two adorable, 9-year-old Shih Tzu dogs, Ion and Lupe
