2021 COLLEGE CONVOCATION CEREMONY

Our college this year will be virtually presenting the ceremony on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. CDT in a a Zoom Webinar: CVMConvocationCeremony. Registration is not required for this ceremony.
Eligibility to Participate
Convocation is not a certification of graduation, but rather a ceremony that celebrates your academic achievements. You must satisfy all of your degree requirements before you officially graduate and receive your diploma. You are eligible to participate in both the university commencement and the college convocation ceremonies if you have graduated since August 2020 or December 2020 or expect to finish your degree requirements by May 2021.
University Campus-wide Commencement Ceremony (Memorial Stadium)
The university campuswide Commencement ceremony will be held virtually on Saturday, May 15, at 12:00 p.m.

College of Veterinary Medicine Convocation Ceremony (Veterinary Medicine Basic Sciences Building))
This event is only for the College of Veterinary Medicine graduates and is scheduled for Saturday, May 15 at 3:00 p.m. in in the Veterinary Medicine Basic Sciences Building. This ceremony lasts about 1½ hours.
Arrival Time and Location
Graduates should arrive at 2:45 p.m. and report to their assigned room.
Announcements for graduates can be ordered through Herff Jones, the Illini Union Bookstore, or a copy shop of your choice.
Phi Zeta Members can pick up Phi Zeta Cords from the ASA Office starting May 1. The cords are yours to keep.
For the campuswide commencement ceremony on Saturday, parking is available in many university lots around the stadium (excluding 24-hour rented parking spots). For the college convocation ceremony, parking is available in the Krannert Center parking garage and at bagged meters around Krannert Center. Please click the link below for accessibility assistance:
Diploma Information (Mailing Address and Name)
Because it is not possible to process grades and prepare degree lists by Commencement weekend, diplomas will be mailed by mid-July. The primary address that will be used to mail your diploma is the “Diploma Address.” If the diploma address is unavailable, it will be mailed to the “Mailing Address.” Students should check and update their “Diploma Address” through the link below:
Name Change: Information on changing your name to the version which will appear on your diploma and transcript can be found by following the link below.
If you have questions about your diploma, please call the Office of the Registrar at 217-333-0210.
Before ordering your transcripts, please check Student Self-Service to see if your degree has been posted. The first degree upload will occur Friday, June 4.
