Graduate Certificate Offerings

Use your electives within the MVS to earn a graduate certificate, in addition to your degree!
Graduate certificate programs enable students to obtain a non-degree graduate certificate by completing a series of courses that appear on their transcript. Students can earn graduate certificates in a variety of pathways:
- Earn a graduate certificate and stop taking classes
- Start by earning a graduate certificate and apply the course credits toward a degree program
- Earn a graduate certificate concurrently while pursuing a degree program and apply the credits earned towards the degree
Graduate Certificate Offerings:
Certificate in Veterinary Science
- Offered by the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine
- 12 Credit Hour Certificate
VCM 507, VCM 509, VCM 513 and VCM 514 will apply toward the MVS Degree.
Companion Animal Nutrition
- Offered by the University of Illinois College of ACES
- 12 Credit Hour Certificate
- Courses to earn the Companion Animal Nutrition Certificate
ANSC 422 and ANSC 499 will apply toward the MVS Degree. ANSC 424 and ANSC 526 do not apply toward the MVS Degree. These courses would be in addition to the MVS curriculum to complete the certificate.
Strategic Leadership & Management
- Offered by the University of Illinois Gies College of Business
- 12 Credit Hour Certificate
BADM 508 and BADM 509 will apply toward the MVS Degree. BADM 544 does not apply toward the MVS Degree. This course would be in addition to the MVS curriculum to complete the certificate.
Value Chain Management
- Offered by the University of Illinois Gies College of Business
- 12 Credit Hour Graduate Certificate
BADM 520 and BADM 567 will apply toward the MVS Degree. ACCY 503 does not apply toward the MVS Degree. This course would be in addition to the MVS curriculum to complete the certificate.
