WHO WE ARE

We study the protozoan parasite Cryptosporidium parvum, a leading cause of diarrheal illness in young children, and an economically important veterinary pathogen. We use a combination of genetics, genomics and cell biology approaches to understand parasite biology and develop novel therapeutics for cryptosporidiosis.

OUR RESEARCH

  • Unraveling signaling mechanisms that regulates proliferation and development of Cryptosporidium parvum

  • Identifying and genetically validating new drug targets

  • Identifying novel vaccine targets and dissecting parasite virulence mechanisms
