The incidence of tick-borne diseases in Illinois has been increasing over the years, along with the variety of ticks and associated illnesses found in the state. Our research team, with funding from the CDC’s Midwest Center for Excellence in Vector-Borne Disease, is fielding a survey on the knowledge, attitudes and practices of medical professionals regarding tick-borne disease. The survey results will help us design Illinois-specific CME to ensure that medical professionals have up-to-date information to support the prompt diagnosis and treatment of these conditions.
