WHO WE ARE

We study the protozoan parasite Cryptosporidium parvum, a leading cause of diarrheal illness in young children, and an economically important veterinary pathogen. We use a combination of genetics, genomics and cell biology approaches to understand parasite biology and develop novel therapeutics for cryptosporidiosis.

OUR RESEARCH

  • Dissecting the molecular mechanism(s) of host cell invasion by C. parvum

  • Genetic validation of molecular targets

  • Identifying novel drug targets
