Highly motivated and ambitious postdoctoral researcher sought to join Dr. Jarosinski’s laboratory to study herpesviral replication and transmission. Our program focuses on herpesviral replication using in vitro, in vivo, and ex vivo avian models to identify and characterize viral and cellular genes important for replication within the host and during host-to-host transmission. These studies are used to complement research on human herpesviruses using in vitro and in situ models. Funding is currently available for 2 years and the possibility of further extensions, with the goal of establishing an independent research project for the post-doc. Requirements include: 1) PhD, MD/PhD, or DVM/PhD degree, 2) experience or expertise in analyzing bioinformatics data, 3) tissue culture of mammalian and avian cells, and 4) knowledge of molecular biology (cloning, IFA, western blotting, etc.). Please send CV and the names of up to three references by email to Dr. Jarosinski (firstname.lastname@example.org).
