M.S.
Associate Director of Industry Relations
Kaylee Hillinger joined the Online Programs and Extension team at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in June 2023 as the Associate Director of Industry Relations. In her role, she acts as a mediator between industry and curriculum development for graduate degree and non-degree programs offered by the I-Learning Center. She strives to bridge the gap between industry knowledge gaps and the design of new courses to fill those gaps.
Kaylee has previously worked for 8 years at Boehringer Ingelheim Animal in various sales and marketing positions within the swine organization. She enjoyed working with veterinarians and producers across the Midwest and was involved in the development and implementation of swine management software and technology.
Kaylee received her education from the University of Illinois, where she studied Animal Science and completed a master’s degree in animal agricultural production. She is an active member of the IL Pork Producers Association and serves on the board of directors.
Kaylee grew up on a hobby farm in Sycamore, Illinois, and now lives in Mahomet, Illinois with her husband, Derek, and their two children, Ada and Myles. She enjoys hiking, exercising, and traveling in her free time. As a family, they often spend time working on home projects and playing in the backyard, and they love to go on adventures with their dogs to explore new places.
