Equine Forelimb Foot Example 2
The following radiographs are the lateral, dorsopalmar, sixty degree dorsoplamar (60 DP) and sixty degree dorsopalmar navicular (60 DP Nav) views of the left forefoot of a seven-year-old Quarterhorse. There is slight increase in size of the channels in the navicular bones. This is a controversial subject. If this were a 3 year old Thoroughbred or Standardbred, these navicular bones would be abnormal. However for a 7-year-old Quarterhorse, they can be within normal limits.
