Canine Skull Example 4
The following radiographs are the right lateral view of the skull as well as dorsoventral and dorsoventral right-left oblique views of the skull of a two-month-old American Pit Bull Terrier. There is a complete fracture of the rostral right mandible just caudal to the mandibular canine. Notice that because of her age, you can see several deciduous teeth as well as molar teeth have not erupted. Also due to her age, skull sutures have not fused and are visible. These are often mistaken for skull fractures.
