Decoding the Dot Plots: Understanding your CBC analyzer outputs
In-clinic hematology analyzers are becoming increasingly common, although deciding whether to accept automated data or confirm with manual blood smear analysis can be difficult. This session will focus on interpreting CBC dot plots to aid clinicians in knowing when to trust automated leukocyte differentials and reticulocyte counts, and when to turn to the microscope for confirmation and morphologic analysis. This interactive session will use case examples focused on small animal patients to help build skills and recognize patterns.
