Anne Barger — DVM, MS, DACVP

Department Head, Veterinary Clinical Medicine

Dr. Anne Barger earned her DVM from the University of Illinois in 1996. She went on to do a clinical pathology residency at North Carolina State University. She joined the faculty at the University of Illinois in 2002. Currently, she is the Edith Elisabeth Flynn Professor and Head of the Department of Veterinary Clinical Medicine. Her research interests include cytology and immunocytochemistry.



Working the Bugs Out: Identifying Microorganisms with Cytology

In this session, we will review cytologic features, staining, and associated inflammation with different types of microorganisms. Bacteria, fungus, and various parasites will be reviewed.
