Christine Dietrich and her staff in our Office of Advancement perform the important work of helping our generous donors identify ways to support the mission of our college. Scholarships for veterinary students are a rewarding and much-needed outcome of that work. Today we bring scholarship creators and scholarship recipients together.

This is a wonderful opportunity for donors to truly realize the impact of their gift on a deserving student. It’s a chance for students to gain insight into why someone who does not know them is helping them become a veterinarian.
This year, thanks to our donors, the college awarded more than $730,000 in scholarship support, making a total of 174 unique awards.
Two scholarships are being given for the first time this year.  They are:
• Kremer Telemedicine Scholarship
• Stateline Spay/Neuter and Education Scholarship Fund
At this time, would all our donors please stand so we can thank them with our applause?
Next we’ll applaud our hardworking students. While each of our students is a unique and talented person, I have been informed that when it comes to naming, many of their parents seem to have been on the same page: Of the 165 veterinary students who received a scholarship this year, 1 out of 7 is named either Alyssa, Amanda, Emily, Rachel, or Samantha.
Thank you to all our donors and award recipients. Each of you makes a vital contribution to the mission of the college.
