Jessica, a first-year student, is interested in mixed animal, wildlife, and exotic medicine. She plans to pursue externships involving various species to help her narrow her career focus.

Darec, a fourth-year student, is excited to practice at a small animal general practice
in the suburbs of Chicago. He is inspired to practice using alternative pain therapy
(acupuncture and physical rehabilitation, among others) and to one day open a
practice that pioneers novel treatments.

Brianna, a first-year student from Ringwood, Ill., has a strong interest in exotic companion animal and zoological medicine. She hopes to work closely with clients and their pets as well as at zoos and wildlife rehabilitation centers.

Lauren is a third-year student from Joliet, Ill., who is interested in small animal general practice and surgery. Lauren became involved with the state veterinary association after learning about their mission to improve the veterinary profession and be a resource for the general public.
