Based on a minimum GPA of 3.0 and financial need. Recipient must write an essay on why they chose veterinary medicine and what they plan to do with their degree.

Josephine is a first-year student from North Olmsted, Ohio. She is interested in mixed animal practice and rehabilitation for dogs and horses. She hopes to own a combined animal shelter/animal hospital one day.
Melissa, a second-year student from Saint Cloud, Minn., plans to go into mixed animal practice in her home state after she graduates. She has a special interest in small animal surgery.
Morgan is a second-year student from Orlando, Fla. She is interested in pursuing small animal emergency medicine and hopes to complete an internship after graduation.
Andrea, a first-year student from San Antonio, Texas, is interested in small animal private practice and surgery, especially orthopedic surgery. As her studies progress, she looks forward to exploring more aspects of veterinary medicine.
Amanda, a third-year student from Wheaton, Ill., plans a career in mixed animal medicine while also pursuing her passion for dog sledding and caring for racing sled dogs. In her fourth year of study, she will extern at the Yukon Quest International Sled Dog Race.
Jason is a third-year student from Wheaton, Ill. He loves small animal medicine, surgery, and business but hasn’t found a part of veterinary medicine he doesn’t love yet. Jason hopes to own his own practices after graduation.
