EMERGENCY SERVICES ARE HERE FOR THE HOLIDAYS

Planning coverage for your clinic during the winter holidays? The Veterinary Teaching Hospital provides emergency services 24/7/365 — including all holidays.

Clients can call ahead (217-333-5300 for small animal; 217-333-2000 for large animal). Veterinarians with referring emergency and convenient care cases should call 217-333-5311.

HOLIDAY GIFTS THAT MAKE A DIFFERENCE

The person honored by your contribution will receive a card from the College, letting them know you have recognized them in this way.  The College ensures that all donations received by December 15 will be acknowledged before December 24.

FEATURED CLINICAL TRIAL

cat in mousetrapFunded Study: Comparative imaging of cats with congestive heart failure

The emergency and critical service and the diagnostic imaging service are currently accepting cats for a study comparing echocardiography, radiography and computed tomography for the diagnosis of cardiomyopathy in cats in congestive heart failure. Participating cats must demonstrate signs consistent with congestive heart failure.

INTRODUCING "ONE HEALTH & YOU: NEWS YOU CAN USE"

The College’s Center for One Health Illinois is organizing a series of public-focused lectures for the spring. Each 2-hour session will begin with brief presentations from a panel of experts, on topics ranging from the legalization of marijuana to the safety of unpasteurized dairy products, followed by a question-and-answer period with the audience. All lectures will be held in Urbana, and the final two will be repeated at a Chicago venue. Mark your calendars now, and look for more details in coming months.
