Mia Sands

Mia is a predoctoral fellow in Prof. Joseph Irudayaraj’s lab in the Department of Bioengineering. Her research focuses on integrating computational methods and quantitative analysis to assess PFAS toxicity. She is currently working on developing epigenetic editing tools using CRISPR-related technologies and incorporating Machine Learning algorithms to identify cancer-related biomarkers induced by PFAS exposure.
