Joseph Bruner – DVM, DACVIM (SAIM)

Clinical Assistant Professor

Dr. Joseph Bruner is an Ohio native born and raised in Cincinnati. He attended The Ohio State University College, graduating in 1992. After relocating to Cleveland, and working at a general practice for 2 years, Dr. Bruner completed a SA rotating internship at the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine, where he received the veterinary teaching award and many accolades in clinical instruction. After completing a residency at Purdue University, he returned to a specialty practice in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Bruner acquired board certification in
ACVIM (SAIM) in 1999, and established the Greater Cincinnati Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Services as a regional multispecialty practice serving the veterinary community in Southwest Ohio, southeast Indiana, and Kentucky. After a 25-year career in private practice, he returned to his academic roots to explore his passion for teaching and advanced specialty diagnostics and care. Dr. Bruner’s academic interests are centered on diseases of the respiratory tract and diagnostic medicine.

Join Dr. Stephanie Bruner (Dermatology) and Dr. Joseph Bruner (Internal Medicine) as they discuss controversial diagnostic and therapeutic issues in small animal medicine that arise when patients exhibit different clinical signs of the same condition. The “best answer” may be a matter of perspective. Topics will range from endocrinopathies to allergic disorders with a few things in-between.
