Signalment and history:
An eight year old male English Shepherd dog is presented for evaluation of a non weight bearing lameness of the left forelimb. The dog was laying in the driveway when the service truck backed over his forelimb. There is a degloving injury of the mid to distal medial aspect of the left forelimb. There are no other abnormalities noted and thoracic radiographs are normal. The owners will do anything you recommend and have the ability to confine the dog during the post operative period.
